Architecture

ANWANI is a studio based practice driven by a belief that “we shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us”. The quality of our environment has a direct influence on the quality of our lives, whether at home, in the workplace or the public realm. In that sense, we view architecture and design as all embracing, ranging from the functional and environmental performance of a building to a concern for its physical, cultural and functional context.
Our practice follows an interdisciplinary approach that engages urban planners, engineers, environmentalists and cost managers from the onset of each project. By working together creatively from the start of a project, the professionals combine their knowledge to devise integrated, sustainable design solutions. From appointment to completion, the design teams are supported by numerous partner disciplines, including project management and contractors. And to ensure consistency and personal service, the same core team sees a project through from beginning to end. The design process is reviewed regularly by the Design Board.

Our practice follows the RIBA plan of work, 2013. This entails:

• Appraisal and definition of the projects;
• Design concept: Design development;
• Approvals and technical documentation;
• Contract administration and inspection.
